Google launched their latest Nexus tablet called Nexus 9. This HTC built tablet is a 8.9 inch phone with QHD display that runs latest Android 5.0 Lollipop is 7.95 mm thick and weighs 436 g.
Display
Nexus 9 features a 8.9 inch display with 2048 x 1536 resolution with 288 ppi which is protected by corning gorilla glass 3. It is the first time Google launched a device in 4:3 ratio, which is same as the Ipads. Currently only Xiaomi tablet has 4:3 ratio screen with same resolution. Since it is made by HTC, there is dual front speakers for hearing pleasure,
Specifications
Under the hood where this tablet is interesting since it features 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 Dual Denver clocked at 2.3GHz coupled with Kepler DX1 GPU (192 core) which might be the most powerful GPU-CPU combination, since we have already seen what the 32 bit Tegra chip was capable of(it was able to play games with desktop graphics like batman arkham asylum). The tablet comes with 2GB of RAM. It has 16b GB (Wifi only) and 32 GB internal memory (with LTE)versions and unsurprisingly omitted the microsdcard slot.
Camera
It features a 8MP rear camera with f2.4 aperture. Cant Expect much from a tablet camera. The front camera is a 2.1MP unit. Rear camera can record 1080p videos whereas the front camera can in 720p resolution.
Software
It runs on the latest Android L or 5.0 the latest and greatest since it is a nexus device and Google is touting it not only as a entertainment device but as a productivity tool too.
Battery
It features an embedded 6700 mAh battery. It might be sufficient for a one day use.
Connectivity
It features 4G/3G/2G (optional), Wi-Fi, GPS with GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC.
Pricing and Availability
The Nexus 6 will be go up for pre-order on October 29th, and will be available in stores in the beginning of November and will be available on November 12th in US . It will also be offered unlocked and off-contract and Nexus 9 comes in a choice of black and white, and you can get one of three versions: a 16GB Wi-Fi model for $399, a 32GB one for $479, and a 4G LTE-equipped 32GB version for $599. In India it is already up for pre-order with 16GB wifi version costing Rs. 28,900 and 32 gb LTE version for Rs. 44900
