Porn star Sunny Leone was happy to be evicted from the Bigg Boss House on New Year’s Eve, and hopes to stick around in the city till the show draws to a close this week.
“I don’t know if I’m performing on the finale night. But I don’t think I’ll ever want to go back into a house that’s full of people who fight, argue and mess up the environment all day,” says Sunny, minutes after exiting.
“They can do anything to win. I can’t.”
Over the past few weeks, news reports have claimed that several social groups wanted the Colors show banned because it ‘promotes’ vulgarity, making an obvious reference to the Canada-born Indian porn star. A report recently accused her staff of using Bigg Boss to promote her adult website.
Sunny defends her team, saying, “They will always listen to the Colors team. I’m on a TV show. People are going to look me up on the web. My sites have been putting up updates, so people know what I’ve been up to. We didn’t offend anyone. But if someone is feeling low, I’d like to apologise.”
During her stay, she also met filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, who offered her the role in his daughter Pooja’s upcoming project, Jism 2. The story revolves around a small-town woman whose life goes through a transformation.
Sunny, who has never revealed her real name, is now keen to meet Mahesh and take things forward. During his day-long stay on the show, she had agreed to act in the film on principle.
“When he made the offer, I didn’t know who he was. By the end of the day, I realised he was one of the biggest filmmakers,” she says, adding that she would now travel to India more often.
She is also looking forward to learning Hindi: “This exit from Bigg Boss is not an end to my work in India. It’s the beginning.”
The controversy Sunny Leone had a couple of run-ins with co-contestant Amar Upadhyay, whom she claimed on the show, had tried to get too close to her.
“He shouldn’t have done that. He’s a married man with kids. I have a husband. Our families are watching. He tried getting too close to me physically on three occasions. The first time, he held my hand and kissed it. I politely asked him not to do that again. The second time, he lifted me despite my saying no. And the third time, he held my hand very tight,” recalls Sunny, adding, “I held my ground and didn’t cry. But as a dignified man, he shouldn’t have put me through this. He apologised, which I accepted, but I don’t know if I should forgive him.”
